WHAT ANOTHER GREAT WEEK TO EMAIL THE GREATEST FAMILY EVER!

THIS WEEK WAS SO HORRIBLE I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START WITH IT ALL.... HAHA JUST KIDDING IT WAS SUPER GREAT! THERE WAS A LOT OF AWESOME THINGS HAPPENING AND NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT AT ALL.

I AM GLAD THAT KARA'S PRESENT GOT THERE SAFE AND SOUND! THE PARTY LOOKED LIKE A BLAST, I CANT WAIT TO HEAR ALL ABOUT IT FROM KARA'S LETTER. 16 WOW THAT IS HARD TO BELIEVE, IT FILLS LIKE I WAS JUST 16 THE OTHER DAY, JUST LEARNING TO DRIVE AND EVERYTHING... I GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO SAY IT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.. ITS BEEN GREAT KNOWING YOU OLD HONDA... HAHA KARA YOU WILL DO GREAT! REMEMBER TO ALWAYS LOOK AT THE KEY CHAIN THAT I SENT YOU... YOU TOO NICOLE..

THIS PAST WEEK WE HAD ANOTHER ZONE CONFERENCE WITH THE MISSION PRESIDENT AND ONE OTHER ZONE, I ALWAYS LOVE THE ZONE CONFERENCES THEY REALLY HELP THE MISSION GROW IN UNITY AND PURPOSE. THEY TALKED ABOUT BECOMING THE 4TH MISSIONARY OR PERSON PER SAY.. BASICALLY BECOMING A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST. NOW THE ONLY WAY THAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS IS THROUGH THE DOCTRINE OF CHIRST.. FAITH... REPENTANCE.. BAPTISM.. RECEIVING THE HOLY GHOST... AND ENDURING TO THE END.. WE HAVE TO GIVE EVERYTHING UP THAT WE DESIRE AND JUST DO OUR HEAVENLY FATHERS WILL. I MEAN EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THE COUNSEL OF THE MODERN DAY PROPHETS AND COMMANDMENTS.. ITS HARD AND ITS NOT AT THE SAME TIME.. ITS REALLY A PERSONAL CHOICE, BECAUSE IN FACT WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE AGENCY TO CHOSE. NOW THE ATONEMENT OF OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST IS IN FACT THE ONLY WAY THIS IS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE WE MAKE MISTAKES ALL THE TIME.. ITS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF, WE ALL DO IT. ITS SOMETHING THAT I WOULD INVITE EVERYONE TO PONDER AND FIND OUT FOR THEMSELVES. THERE IS A SWEET TALK THAT HELPS.. YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOK IT UP ON LDS.ORG THOUGH.. ITS CALLED "WHEN THOU ART CONVERTED".. ANYWAY THAT IS SOMETHING THAT I HAVE BEEN STUDYING FOR THE PAST 6 OR SO MONTHS..

WE'VE REALLY SEEN A LOT OF GROWTH IN THE WORK HERE IN MASON CITY THE PAST FEW MONTHS. ON SUNDAY WE JUST TAUGHT A NEW INVESTIGATOR THAT HAS BEEN COMING TO CHURCH FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS.. HES SO AWESOME! I LIED ABOUT DUSTIN TOO.. HES GOING TO BE BAPTIZED ON MARCH 9TH, HES REALLY COME A LONG WAYS SINCE WE FIRST TAUGHT HIM. I REALLY HOPE THAT IT WILL GO THROUGH. WE ARE WORKING WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE RIGHT NOW, THAT ALL HAVE POTENTIAL TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS. THE LORD HAS BLESSED US SO MUCH, AND ITS ALL BECAUSE OF FAITH AND OBEDIENCE. THOSE TWO PRINCIPLES ARE PRINCIPLES FOR LIFE.. :)

I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I REALLY DO LOVE THE WORK AND THE LORD, IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME TO KNOW THAT I HAVE A LOVING FAMILY BACK IN DRAPER THAT SUPPORTS ME THROUGH ANYTHING! AND THAT GOES FOR THE EXTENDED FAMILY TOO! LIVE BY THIS SCRIPTURE AND ALL WILL BE FINE.. 3 NEPHI 13:32-33.. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH! KEEP BEING AWESOME!

Another Happy birthday! To Kara Kirton!!

 

Man the party looked super fun and everything I wish I could have been there to enjoy it too! How was the birthday cake? haha I am glad that Nicole was able to have a lot of fun with her amazing race party. Hope the weather was good for it and everything. What’s Kara going to do for her party? I sent her a little something today so it should get there on Thursday. Have a happy birthday Kara! love ya

 

I am still trying to get adjusted to the tri companionship, it’s definitely a little different in the teaching appointments. It’s totally cool though, because it’s a great learning experience for me. Elder Peterson is getting along with us just fine and I think I forgot to tell you where he was from, he’s from California, we don’t get a whole lot of missionaries from there. Most of them come from Utah, which is surprising.

We were able to set another baptismal date this week with Laynell! It’s so awesome, the work here is going really great right now, I hope we can keep up with the people. The date this Saturday had to be pushed back a little ways, because he wasn’t quite ready yet, but we will get him there, hopefully.

The month of March is going to be very busy for us, we will hopefully have about 3 baptisms in that month. I will keep you posted on all of the work and stuff.

I did get all of the packages that were sent to me, thanks a bunch! It was the greatest birthday ever! Even though it was a thousand miles away. You guys are so great and I do miss you! have a super extraordinary week! LOVE ELDER KIRTON

We celebrated with TJ in our hearts. He sent his sister a package and it arrived for her birthday. Nicole said to have a cake to blow candles out. We even sang to him too. We hope he had a great day!

Today is TJ and Nicoles birthday. We miss not getting to celebrate with him, but we wish him a very Happy Birthday!!! 

GOTTA GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO THE GREATEST FAMILY OUT THERE!!!!

 

Man o man I can’t believe it’s going to the 13th this week it is so hard to believe that it’s already here... wow how time just flies right by! Sounds like Nicole is going to have some fun at her party.. she will finally get her own birthday party now.. haha its kinda sad though at the same time.. Well happy birthday Nicole... 18 wow you’re getting old, it seems like yesterday that I was 18 years old.. now 20! Have the best birthday every! you will have to make up for me too k! haha love ya! so you got some more snow, we did as well over here, just a few flurries though, nothing like good old Utah.

This week was pretty usual for the most part until Thursday! On Saturday last week we received phone calls to see if we got transferred or not, well I said that I wasn’t getting transferred... but... I am still staying .. haha, but we did get a little change up. We got a call on Thursday around noon, basically saying why weren't we at the transfer meeting ,which is about 4 hours away, long story short they failed to tell us that we needed to be there to pick up another missionary.. I am still serving with Elder Firth, but now I am with Elder Peterson too.. so we have three missionary in the same area.. it’s pretty crazy. It’s definitely a little strange when you go into a lesson with three missionaries instead of just too, it will take some getting use too.. but I know that it is what the Lord wants for this area. That was the biggest news that we received this week.

That same day we were able to teach a new investigator and invite her to be baptized, it was super awesome! For the most part it’s been a solid week, we’ve been able to meet with a lot of less active people here in the ward this week so it’s been great.. we didn’t get the chance to teach all of the investigators with dates this week, that was the only down fall.. I hate going through a week a not being able to talk to them in person, to make sure everything is going well for them. It’s crazy how much more you care about all of these people here in Iowa, when you’re a missionary, I guess it’s because of the calling... haha. I really love it! We try to stay in contact with everyone who has a date, everyday.. if Satan can temp them constantly then we will be doing the same thing, but for the good things in life.

It was a little frustrating not having church again this week.. The weather was bad enough I guess.. out in the country that not everyone could of made it to church. I miss not having church every week.. o ya the other interesting news is, this transfer is only going to be 5 weeks instead of 6 weeks, do to the fact that the MTC changed from having the missionary there for 3 weeks to 2 weeks. So it affected us to.. so we actually will be going home a week earlier than usual. but it’s going to be a great transfer with a lot of things happening.. hopefully a few baptisms.. yah!!
